چکیده
Background: Surgical cytoreduction and simultaneous hyperthermic intraoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is a common treatment for peritoneal carcinomatosis. During chemotherapy, mitomycin C frequently used. Mitomycin known to be nephrotoxic. Little about the effect of systemically absorbed on renal function during HIPEC surgery. Methods: In twenty-two patients undergoing cytoreductive surgery carcinomatosis systemic levels were measured in plasma. The relation plasma with duration complexity was evaluated. Furthermore, we evaluated between function. Results Two total 22 developed acute kidney injury. these patients, preoperative creatinine level increased from (1) 109 μmol/L maximum 890 6th postoperative day after which replacement therapy started (2) 67 213 μmol/L. Whereas 2 145 μg/L 280 compared other (167 ±80.8). Peak post operative 2. None needed therapy. Eight showed significant increase levels, i.e. >20% values. We did not observe correlation surgery, absorption C, higher signs Conclusions: Systemic independent extension this small study group, observed an impairment may related C. Further research warranted answer possible association at risk development AKI.

Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy
Selected patients with peritoneal surface malignancies benefit from a radical therapeutic approach consisting of cytoreductive surgery combined with perioperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy (PIC), whichmay be complemented by systemic chemotherapy. Numerous studies have shown the efficacy of this strategy, which has led to survival results unknown to date, even in the era of last-generation ch...

A 35-year-old man was treated for pseudomyxoma peritonei by surgery and by thermal infusion and chemotherapy with a machine designed specifically for the treatment of cancers of serosal surfaces. After extensive abdominal resection and closure, the patient's peritoneal cavity was instilled with 2.5 liters of 5% lactated Ringer's solution. He was then attached to hyperthermic perfusion system wh...

PURPOSE Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) have been proposed for controlling peritoneal seeding metastasis in some kinds of cancers, including those of colorectal origin, but their safety and oncological benefits are subjects of debate. We present our early experience with those procedures. METHODS Data were retrospectively collected from all pa...

Ovarian cancer remains the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women in France. It is all too often diagnosed at an advanced stage with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC), but remains confined to the peritoneal cavity throughout much of its natural history. Because of cellular selection pressure over time, most tumor recurrences eventually develop resistance to systemic platinum. Options for sa...
